Many people are curious and intrigued by the systemic constellations method but aren’t clear about whether a workshop is right for them. On this page you will find frequently asked questions and answers that I hope, will provide you with more clarity on this powerful way of exploring transgenerational heritage.
Q. What can Q&A provide for me?
A. I support people wanting to find out more about their family heritage, in order to re-connect with their cultural history and ancestral line. One of the ways of doing this is through an Ancestral Constellations workshops. By honouring the ancestors that came before you, as well as those in your current family line you can ‘restore the flow of love’, in the family and wider community.
Q. How can your workshops help me?
A. A workshops can give you a new perspective on difficulties in inter-personal relationships and wider community issues. You can explore solutions to problems and look at how to resolve or reconcile relationship issues. The purpose is to build strong families for current and future generations.
Q. Who is the work for?
A. People who want to explore their family and community from different cultural perspectives. Based in London our workshops bring participants from the Caribbean, Africa, India, Europe and beyond. We aim to be open and inclusive to everyone who is interested in exploring diverse ways of living and being in the world.
Q. How does the Ancestral Constellations approach make a difference?
A. ‘Love’ is the healing force that can transform families and communities. This can be done through the Ancestral constellations process, working alongside healing ritual work . It provides a way to restore the ‘flow of love’ by looking at your family ‘just as it is’ within a constellation that shows the different parts of the family system.
Q. What do you mean by ‘just as it is?’
A. ‘Just as it is’ often appears as conflict in relationships and fear about how the past might affect the future. For example, if you have a difficult relationship with your parents, then it may be difficult for you to have a good relationship with your own children, because there is a block between the generations that may not easily be seen. Our Ancestral Constellations workshops can surface, explore and help you resolve these types of issues.
Q. How do I know if a Constellation workshop is right for me?
A. A workshop is right for you if you are open, curious and willing to look at your family history in a new way. There may be an area of your family, community or work-life where you feel stuck. Or perhaps you have an intractable problem in a relationship that you would love to resolve, but can’t find a way to.
Q. How many people attend each workshop?
A. Each workshop has up to 10 people participants. Small enough for safety, large enough to work with the process.
Q. What is a personal constellation?
A. A personal constellation takes place within a group setting and can help you to explore a problem or difficult situation that may has been overlooked or hidden, in depth. Through a ‘visual mapping’ process’ the fuller picture can emerge and a solution to the problem sought.
Q. What will I gain from the workshops?
A. The workshop will enable you to explore a difficult situation and identify where there are stuck patterns or relationship cycles that keep appearing through the generations. You will be able to look at your situation from different angles and then explore how you can disentangle or separate from difficult issues. With that comes more peace of mind and clarity.
Q. How do I know whether it is the right approach for me?
A. Ancestral Constellations are a therapeutic way of working and may bring up strong emotions and feelings. It may not be the right time to attend if you are in a very vulnerable stage of your life, if you are feeling very depressed, or have had a recent physical or mental illness .
Do please talk with me before signing up to attend if you are unsure. I am always happy to discuss any issues you may have or answer questions.
